When I say "newswriter" I mean the boring, pee-on news that none of the older, more experienced writers care to cover. LOL. Among my many stories, I do upcoming events, road closings, letters to the editor and, yes, obituaries. But I don't write the obits, I just format them into our NewsEditPro system. But I do enjoy my job and being a part of the news! I love having my own desk in the newsroom - and I even take Sully to work with me some nights! I am also a semi-newlywed! (How long would you consider a person married to be a "newlywed" still?) I married Eli Martin on February 28, 2004. We were married on the beach on Sullivan's Island - hence our dog's name, Sully! I recently got my hair cut off for Locks of Love! It was a big deal to me, as I've had really long hair since I was 3. It's a wonderful feeling to know it went to such a wonderful cause.
My husband Eli just graduated from ETSU and we hope to move to Charleston, S.C. by August of this year! We are VERY excited about our hopeful-upcoming move! (I'm from Charleston and miss it a lot!) | Wow Valerie - at 23 that's a GREAT job !! I enjoyed hearing how Sully got his name - you GO GIRL ! Love your hair |
