OH My! My ordeal was exactly that! I have had tilly for ten years and she was the baby of my family and then I brought "him" home (sami 7weeks)
she was not impressed and went to her den (under the bed) and avoided me my husband & sami, later that evening she came out I think curiosity got the best of her and started sniffing him out then walk away and lay on top of the couch and just keep an eye on him, but eventually when the strangeness of his presence wore off, like a month she would interact to a degree but not more than that. he would want to play, jump etc.. and she would snap and show her teeth, but he wasn't intimidated by her and was persistent in wanting to play. But now they love each other and tilly will still put him in his place but they play togeather and sleep togeather But now that Sami is 6 months I am concerned about the alpha male thing So enjoy your new family member the queen will come around!
