Yes, some of them can - I think it depends on the dog. My Rowdy woke me up in the middle of the night for the first couple of weeks to go out, then he started sleeping through the night.

Rexy, on the other hand, slept through the night (no peeing) from 8 weeks.

Now though, Rowdy occasionally wakes me up about 3:00AM to go out (Rowdy is 2 years old). Rexy rarely gets up.

I think it just depends and even if he sleeps through the night now, he may, like Rowdy, want to get up when he is grown.....
