These all sounds like good suggestions.
I guess the only thing I'm worried about is that I leave the house about 7:30 AM and don't get home until about 5:30 and I do this Mon-Fri. I feel bad leaving her alone for so long. Of course my roommate takes a lunch break at 11 AM and lets Brooklyn out with the other dogs for about half an hour, so that helps. Also, my sister sometimes will get home about 4:30 and let her out. I started giving her more access and letting her have my whole room so that she could play with the cats, and she liked that a lot better! But then I realized she was pooping under my bed and I can't have that behavior encouraged. It's like when the room is bigger she forgets where her pee pad is (she uses it every time when she's in the smaller area by herself).
I like the idea of taking her to day care 2 days a week to break up the lonliness. Maybe I'll try that, just not sure if I can afford it.
