My lil furbaby is coming home to me on Friday 13th and I want to have my housebreaking plan all thought out and planned so he can be successful. With my shihzu and maltese I would have them sleep with me at night and if they wiggled that usually meant they needed to 'go'. I was planning on doing this with our puppy at night and than crating him during the day for the couple of hours that I go to the office- that should help strengthen his bladder. The breeder has him paper trained right now and I want him to use the Petapotty on the balcony. I was planning to have newspapers by the patio door and gradually move them outside to the spot where I will put the potty. then when he gets big enough to get on the potty put the newspaper on top untill he gets the picture. Will this all work with a Yorkie? Or should I crate him the entire night- or not crate at all?
