I just finished doing my daughter's taxes for her. The place she worked didn't take taxes out and she earned enough this year to have to file a return. So, she has to pay self-employment taxes! She didn't plan on that and didn't put anything away plus I claimed her on my taxes this year for the last time so she can't even claim herself.
Poor baby. I told her I would give her back the amount I got extra for claimig her, but it won't cover it all. So, Im afraid my wedding gift to her is going to be the payment of her taxes.
