I found both of mine in ads - one on the internet(Casper) after days of trawling through ads, and the other(Tammy) in the Nothern edition of our main advertser paper. Just phone ads and ask lots of questions. I travelled 200 miles for one, and 300 for the other. There is no harm in going for a look, and I have ALWAYS come home with them, lol
Too many people go to rescue centres and there are not enough Yorkies to go around, but you WILL get one from an advertiser or the internet. Just don't hand over any money until you have see them !
You could phone up the all Yorkie Rescue Centres or also phone breeders as they often have an older dog needing rehomed
