But....they know each other, and Penny is an extremely friendly, easygoing cat, so I know that's different than your situation.

I have found that the dog will want to befriend the cat, but most likely, the cat will either go into hiding or just not care. It will only go into "attack mode" if your dog tries to overstep its boundary.

You should be ok, just be cautious, just in case.

If it were me I wouldn't worry. Sully goes to my aunt's house with me all the time and they have 2 less than friendly cats. But, Sully KNOWS that Penny is the only cat he's allowed to mess with...and so he leaves them alone, and they do the same for him.

Just one step closer to world peace! J/k
