I agree with this and I have a maltese. My malts are loving, but there is nothing to compare a yorkie to! They are truly ecstatic to see you and spend time with you.
I am in no way supporting someone if they did indeed lie to you. But just to be a little devil's advocate here, there really is no way for your breeder to know how big she will get. Maybe she really thought there is no way she would get bigger than the parents. Unfortunately my mother is going through the same thing with a male maltese we took 8 months to find. Mother and father were 4 and 4 1/2 pounds. We really trusted this woman, and I don't think she was lieing to us. She said none of her past litters grew bigger than 5 pounds. Well he is 6 months old and is already 5 1/2. I tell him to STOP GROWING! Everytime I see him as we wanted him for breeding my female malts. Sometimes they just get bigger than expected.
Also I have a 5 pound maltese and a 5 pound yorkie, the breeds are built differently and my yorkie is so much smaller than my maltese.
