the neutragena products leave a very natural tan. I'm olive skinned and they worked great for me and my hubby is white as they come and they worked great for him too. I'd recommend starting out with the lightest and then if it's not as dark as you'd like move up a level. I've also used the Jergen's Daily glow, it's very gradual and also looks natural. All of them smell though
