Well thread, it's you an me again at the end of the night. I had a very busy day today. Looks like you did too.
I ran sound at church for dress rehearsal for the Good Friday pageant we're doing. It was a very interesting experience. The sound man (me) is in charge behind the director and I could not get these people to be quiet and listen to me. I wasted 20 minutes trying to set levels with no input. So I finally shut them down, sat in my chair and waited 'til they figured out that none of their mics were working. I was laughing up there in my booth!!
Then I hear the director say, "Uhm people, I think you have insulted the sound man. We need to apologize so we can get going here." Funny!!! There were no problems after that.
Later when everyone was leaving, they were so nice to me "Bye Susie, Thanks Susie, Good job Susie, How do you learn to run that big board Susie?" Well, it was a good experience for them to learn that they have to listen to the sound man if they want to sound good.
Ok, well thread it was good talking with you or rather to you. Thanks for listening to my funny story. Sleep well, I'll see you tomorrow.
