Oh I have to agree with Mardelin regarding the dew claws. I never paid them much attention until my white Peke suffered an injury to hers...looked like someone had tried to hack the poor girl's foot off.

And she wouldn't put her leg down for a month. After seeing them removed from our litters and the pups not so much as flinch, I can't really come up with a good reason to leave them intact. Anyway...just my opinion.
A small request though, for future reference can we all try to leave the 'well over in this country' and 'you all over theres' comments at the door. I realize that the approval of certain practices differ in various countries and it can be educational to compare the two, but there is such a fine line between what can be interpreted as discussion and insulting...I have yet to see such topics end on a civil note, rather more often I've seen them cause controversy and ignite grudges.
