Yeh, thought you might not agree, but that's ok.
They were the same about showing and tail docking here too, and fought it all the way, but the RSPCA won in the end, and I'm glad.
The same goes for dew-claws, we go on you shouldn't own a Yorkie unless......., and I for one, do all my own clipping, all my own grooming, all my own anal glands and all my own claw cutting, etc, so I never have a problem with their dew-claws, etc. I know what I am doing.
Maybe this law might be ok for those who take on a Yorkie and don't do these things, I don't know, but after being brought up on a farm and seeing all sorts of things, I'm afraid it's left it's mark, and I cannot stand to see any animal suffering or having things done to it....it's like lambs tails, branding and ear tags, etc, though maybe with anaesthetic, but still don't like it. I feel the same about children and old people suffering after being a nurse ! I am just a softy !

"the way god made it" springs to mind.

You should see the happy waggy dogs over here. Once it comes over there, you will see what I mean, and most don't get injured.

Just different ways of doing things.

Better not overtake this post, ha ha, sorry !
