It works very well! I wanted to see how it tasted, so i licked a little...and nearly passed out. LOL. But back to your questions, when you see he's about to bite, spray it on your arms and let him bite you. The bitter taste will discourage him from biting you. Also when he gets a taste of the bitter apple, say "No" in a stern voice.
