Leave them poor waggy tails alone !!! All my dogs have tails, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Vets here can be charged even if they do it - as can owners. It's cruel and un-necessary.
I feel the same about dew-claws !

No doubt a lot of you over there will disagree, but thankfully we have law on our side here
I am glad I am in this country ....though I don't like Tony Blair, ha ha ha

The reason for banning tail docking or ear cropping in some European Countries was not because of cruelty to animals...I need to pull up that article. However, it has been documented that there has been a higher incident of yorkies having their tail injured since the law was put into play....Yorkies tails are thinner than most breeds.

It hasn't been banned here yet, but that doesn't mean it won't, but at this point if a yorkie is shown with a natural tail here, it doesn't do well....just a matter of preference.

Dew Claws are another matter, left in place can cause injury, getting hung up on things, people not trimming them properly and causing them to grow into the leg. Let alone groomers injuring the dog by cutting to close.

So we agree to disagree.
