I think you are absolutely right about this. I was willing to pay more when i didnt know much about the breed. But now that i feel i know a lot more, I want to get a reasonable price without having to ship a puppy for many hrs in a freezing cage. But since I cant get the price that i want in my area. I will have no other choice but to pay several times more than i want to.
I overpaid on my pup and then spent over a grand to keep her alive since she had the typical "dog store stuff".
I think some people have no other choice but pay what is being offered in their area.
