I'm sorry to tell you guys that the news on Frankie was not good. What I thought were abcessed teeth was actually a cancerous lesion that covered the better part of her lower jaw - about the size of a quarter. It had burst so we made the decision to have her put to sleep today. The vet said that's why the odor was so bad. I couldn't bear the thought of it being so painful for her to eat, even soft food.

It is so amazing how these little creatures can get under your skin in so little time. She was only here less than two days and I had already fallen in love.

My thoughts now turn to my sweet, precious Chester meeting her on the other side of Rainbow Bridge. I know they're romping and playing, pain-free and happy.

Thanks for all your prayers. They were answered, just not in the manner I was hoping for.
