Default Sweet Frankie Baby

Some of you may have read my other post about the rescue I drove 8 hours for on Sunday. I dropped her at the vet's this morning only to receive a call that the dental problem was actually a cancerous lesion that had burst open. The smell was almost unbearable. They said there was nothing much they could do for her and that she definitely was up there in years. I accepted their suggestion to have her put to sleep to keep her from suffering any more.

It had to be painful for her to eat. She had two wonderful days with us, getting all cleaned up, nails done and sleeping in a queen sized bed. I surely didn't think it was that bad and was really looking forward to having her. It just isn't fair to keep them around for one's own sake though.

RIP Sweet Frankie Baby. I'm sure Chester was waiting for you on the other side of Rainbow Bridge.
