All these tributes to "fallen" Yorkies say it really well. I dread the day it comes to that for my Ozzie.
We've ALWAYS had every kind of animal imaginable (from a field mouse to a box turtle to cats and dogs of many varieties) in my house. Even had another Yorkie years ago. I really loved many of these creatures, in fact almost ALL of them, but never like this.
He is almost without fail the first face I see in the morning (usually licking me to indicate that he needs down to go potty) and the last one I see at night.
This little guy really IS my companion. Maybe it's because with the possible exception of when there is food in the room, it's all about ME. Where am I? What am I doing? Why can't I stop that and just pick him up/play with him/chase him? He's so possessive that if he were a man -- and not so darned cute -- I'd probably LEAVE him.
