My Lily does this too. She will go up to one of my other yorkies or a person and start barking like crazy with these really high pitched barks. She does it when she wants attention or wants to play. Unfortunately it usually works and she gets attention. This makes it even harder to break her of the habit. I have tried saying No but she is only 3 months old and doesn't really know what that means yet.
I have recently starting using a plastic spray bottle with water in it. Whenever she starts her little barking tirades, I squirt her in the face with it just once and say No at the same time. It really seems to be working and is reducing the amount of barking that she does. Hope that helps you some. |
