I have been fortunate enough not to have felt either of the two earthquakes that hit Northern California.

To answer your question about what we do when the earth starts to shake, it depends on how hard it is shaking. If it's just a little shake, we stay put. If it really starts to shake, then we take cover in a doorway, or if possible, run outside.
