Coccidia usually is easily treated. Giardia can be a real bugger!! If the vet didn't already tell you, disinfect everything with a bleach solution - all bedding, clothes, toys and the entire surrounding area, floors, crate, etc. that your pup comes in contact with. I am also using baby wipes every to wipe the bum when them go and if he goes outside, also wipe his feet before he comes back in. They can also become very picky eaters or even anorexic with giardia, so just make sure he eats. If he is having diarrhea, a little canned pumpin might help. A good yogurt (I use Stoneyfield Organic) every day (about one TBS) will keep his tummy healthy with the meds. Pancur didn't work for us - we needed the liquid Metronidazole to get rid of the Giardia. Once they have this, they are always more susceptible to getting it again. It is transmitted by bird feces and other infected dogs/cats feces and is many times found in standing water. Your pup can walk on the sidewalk where dried bird poop was and then lick his paw and get it. So baby wipes are a good idea always!!

Good luck. Keep us posted.
Couldn't add a thing.
