Ip Keeping them cool in the summer heat.

It's going to be about 80 degrees here again and I'm wondering what is the best way to keep my two cool on a walk. Rocky still has his black hair and it seems to absorb lots of heat. After a short while, his tongue is hanging out and we turn around and go back home. I thought he was just getting thirsty but once inside, he barely drinks. My husband says hanging his tongue out is a way for him to regulate his temperature since they don't sweat. I'm going to start taking water with us, but I was wondering if anybody had any ideas for keeping cool. We'll be out and about a lot this summer so I want to be prepared. Would a spray bottle be good?
