junebug, i will have to appoligize. i have to write the pattern. i used a pattern for a collar not a harness. i made the pattern for the harness as i went along. but i will give you the pattern for the collar. it is super simple.
cotton thread or cotton yarn depending on how big a dog.
hook size to achieve your ending size.
D ring and buckle.
row 1: chain 6, turn and sc in second chain from hook and each ch to end(5 sc) ch 1, turn..
row 2: (ch 1 of previous row counts as first sc) sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn.(5 sc)..
row 3: repeat row 2 until peice is approx 2 inches long. crochet the (Dring) into the next row of single crochet stitches. ch 1, turn. repeat row 2 until dog collar is desired length. finish off and weave in ends securely.
attaching the buckle:
on the starting end of the collart (closest to the D ring), insert the end into the buckle and loop it under, sew into place.
this would be easy to add beads to also just remember to put the beads on the thread before you begin and add where you want them.
this is so easy to do. i will try to write down the direction on how to create the halter.
