Eddie knew he was protecting his honor and I think he knows the difference between fighting Jack and the neighbors dog, you don't want him to be a coward, so I don't think he did anything wrong, he didn't start it but he finished it...Maybe the moose is next......
All joking aside, if he doesn't start jumping or trying to fight with Jack, I think you did the right thing be a proud daddy....your kid stood up for himself....
