One thing that we did before we brought Maggie home, is to take one of her blankets over to the breeder, one week before we picked Maggie up. Mag's whole family slept on that blanket. We put the blanket in Maggie's bed. She cried a couple of times, but other than that, she adjusted very quickly. Magwad is our only furbaby too. I am retired, so she is my constant companion.
