Well some people may get mad but this reminds me of something I had to do a few years ago. My friends step-mom and dad had a litter of puppies, they were adorable. They were a mix and looked like Yorkies. They gave them away. They gave 1 away to a family across the street, they were a young couple with young kids and they named her Chloe. They were NEVER home, they left Chloe outside all the time (and it's summertime and they lived in town). Chloe was left outside with NO FENCE, unleashed, and never had a collar put on her. Everytime I pulled up this tiny little 5 lb dog would run across the street to greet me and I was sick. It was going to get ran over, and those people were NEVER home. So I told her family I was going to drive up one day and holler at her and take her home with me and take care of her. Her stepmom said if you don't I am about to take her somewhere else... So one day I just did it. Pulled up, she came running over as usual, and we jumped in the car and went to the farm. That was over 3 years ago, almost 4 actually. Guess what, the people didn't notice the dog was gone for 2 weeks, and all they did was ask my friends stepmom if they were having anymore because they couldn't find theirs!!! Thats all they did. Ask for another one.
Needless to say Chloe has been living on the farm since and she is SUCH a grandpa's girl! She loved the farm so much that when I moved out to go to college last year she stayed with my parents and my sister at home. She's the happiest when she is in the pasture chasing deer, protecting us from the cows that are gonna get us, chasing cats at my gramma's and grampa's, riding in the tractor, etc. She is 13 lbs of joy! We wouldn't know what to do without her!!!
Although she doesn't like it when Zoey and Bentley come torment her now on the weekends... haha
I've saved strays and everything else, I don't like to see any animal suffer. I'm just like my grampa they all say. So I would have to say, I would have taken the dog. I wouldn't leave a kid or an animal in a situation like that... They are helpless and can't care for themselves. I know it's something that an individual has to decide, but I totally back you up. The poor baby is mistreated. Someone has to step in, and I'd rather it be someone on here than a dog catcher or something. You never know where they are going.
Anyways here is Chloe now 4 years old... Our world!
1. Chloe's first Christmas
2. Chloe last weekend after chasing the deer in the pasture. It was funny! Man she can run!
3. Chloe sleeping with Bentley last year. Everyone thinks Chloe is Bentley and Zoey's momma...
