He starts by growling at me, then maybe whining or barking and if I move as to get closer to him he would run crazy fast around the apartment while he continues to growl. He would make a funny growling sound because he's also catching his breath as he runs. This usually lasts for about five minutes until he gets physically tired or bored.

It's unusual, and I wonder what causes him to do it. Can anyone help?
