I am absolutely overwhelmed!! I knew YT'ers were wonderful but now I
know they are!!!!
Patrick is feeling better today but the doctors want to keep him for at least another 24 hours. They are aggressively treating the Diverticulitis with IV antibiotics. They said it will begin to work faster than the pills and they are right .... he is already responding. He still has temperature and occasional chills but it's so much better. The pain is actually manageable now and he isn't asking for medication .... men are so tough!

What we are hoping to do ... get him discharged tomorrow, he will rest here in Columbia for as long as he needs to and then we will finish the trip. My son is ready to come up and drive the truck & trailer home and pick up his "little sister, Toto", but I am hoping that won't be necessary.
I can't remember who suggested calling the vet hospital for a recommended "sitter" for Toto, thank you from the bottom of my heart. They actually said that under the circumstances they would keep her there at the hospital but the lady I talked to had friends who own a grooming shop that she highly recommended. I went over and after talking to her, I left Toto there and I am so happy that I did. She was just the perfect little lady and stayed in her little crate. Jocylyn [sp?] sat her crate on the counter where she could watch everything that was going on and took her out to potty and she was very content there.
Lori [daisy mae06], Louise [Bonnie's Mom], Susie [Tink's Mom], Mary [mcsyzzerz] .... I can never repay your kindness! If there is ever anything at all that I can do for you all, please, please don't hesitate to let me know!! I have never been through such a frightening ordeal in my life and just knowing that you all were there for us was just so comforting, you will just never know how much!! I love all of you!
