Cut the puppy hair off, then let it grow once you know what kind of coat it will be. Loki has an extremely thick cottony coat that looks beautiful in a very short puppy cut and is unmanageable any longer than that . Sammy had not had a real hair cut before we got her (she's 1) and I chopped off about one inch all around and it's so much softer now and perfectly nice to stay longer. |
