I would recommend a pediatric nurse practitioner. One helped us tremendously when our granddaughter decided at about 8 months, that she would stop nursing, and eat only what she could feed herself (which isn't much at 8 months). She was anemic and we were really worried about her. The nurse practitioner really worked with us to get her to eat. Since she would only eat what she could pick up with her fingers, we did things like grilled cheese sandwiches, grilled with lots of cheese and lots of butter and grilled very lightly and then cut up in small pieces so that she could pick them up and put them in her mouth.

If you are near the University of Arizona or Arizona State university, you might be able to call the school of nursing for a referral. Have you asked your doctor for a referral?
