Yes, they do! That is what people mean when you see the 'pedigree' questioned--people are researching the background and see it as a HUGE benefit if the dog came from good lines and better breeder--breeders recognized for their record producing excellent representations of the breed--a record that could be tarnished in the wrong Bubba or Joe's hands.
