I know this might sound mean but i taped my dogs ear for 2 days because he was 4 months and they were still down.
I really didn't want to.
But the year has cartilage and after a while it will get used to it.
From the picture i saw you were taping the ears wrong.

you need to tape them all the way up like a triangles.
