My yorkie had low blood sugar problems when he was a pup and he would shake and he ended up having seizures. We began to free feed him (have food out at all times including at night) and we measured how much he was eating to make sure he was eating enough. Also, we gave nutrical sometimes if he acted like he needed it. Because of the frequent meals he didn't have enough time for his blood sugar to drop. He stopped shaking and he's not hypoglycemic anymore. We still free feed him now and make sure he's eating enough. Hope this helps
