Check his mouth. Might be a little piece of something stuck in there OR he could have a tooth loose or infected. If he is eating, acting normal, energetic, playful and such it might be nothing except a strange new behavior and will be temp..Is it possible he bit thru an electric cord or something? You said your mom didn't see him eat anything bad but it could be something like a treat or wood(chewing makes splinters! LOL).Dogs do drool when they are having seizures so I would ask mom to keep him right with her and watch him. BUT, that is a common reaction to pain anywhere in the body. Have her look at his gums..PINK? If not, could be a serious problem with shock so he would need to go to the vet ASAP.
