Wash it out with Baking Soda and make sure to get in all the cracks as well.
Then leave an open bowl filled with baking soda in it.You may have to repeat this process several times and it will more than likely take a few weeks to get
rid of the smell.I just went through a nightmare situation with my rental property.The previous tenants had not only ruined the house but also left the fridge unplugged.You may have to use an old toothbrush to get in all the crevices.
It should work out Ok .Good Luck!
