Default pup

There is a conditon called "inverted knee caps"...the leg bends the wrong way..and painful if not corrected.
Many years ago I had a male pup born with his left rear leg that way..my vet did surgery at 4 months, the knee cap was pinned and in a metal brace for 4 months...when the knee healed well, leg was corrected and I gave him to a nice family. It was 30 yrs ago, so I would think surgery is excellent now for a good result..my boy did well.
My vet charged me a total of $175 for surgery and 4 months of treatments...he said many breeders do not correct these things and simply give the pup away not corrected..and the new owner does do it because of cost... the condition if not corrected makes for a painful life for the dog...

Perhaps, this is it...
