You do not sound like a snob at all. I'm sure the people at the newspaper here never thought that by giving free ads to those needing to find a puppy a home they could be putting the puppy in danger. Often things are done with the best intentions, but the consequences are not fully foreseeable. You have a very valid point and raise some very serious issues. I must admit I never saw a problem with free ads or free animals until you mentioned it. It's like a light bulb went on in my head and I totally see where you are coming from. I'm even thinking about e-mailing my local newspaper and expressing those concerns. By the way, I think what you do is wonderful. It is very caring of you to donate your time and effort in such a way.
