First, we taught Sully to do "dead dog" - and went from there with "roll over". The key is being consistent with your voice command AND hand signal. Also, be giving treats, whether it be a cheerio or what we used, nature's recipe training treats from petsmart. We started giving treats for every good move at first and then as they start catching on more, become more stingy with the treat-giving.
It took a little work, but we were consistent and now he'll roll over in a cinch!
