JMO here, but I got my little male Jap. Chin at 9 mos. He was marking all over the place (probably why his last owner's wanted him gone). I had him fixed and it didn't help at all. He wears belly bands when he is in the house now. No choice. And yes, he did gain almost a pound once I had him neutered.
