If that doesn't work I have seen websites with a citronella spray collar, if you get desperate.  When the puppy barks it sprays citronella, and the puppy does not like the smell, and it is harmless to the puppy.  I do not know very much about the spray collars, but I thought they sounded like it would be something that would work.  The collars were around $80 ( I think you can find them for less), but there is the refill spray can that is about $10.  Maybe get the refill and see if it works.  Just spray the puppy yourself, when he barks, to see if it would be worth the money.  I did a google search and found this website http://www.mightypets.com/subcat.asp?0=327  . Thank you for this! I was looking into that and his "daddy" didnt really like the idea. Ha ha! I told him that he's not here during the day to deal with it....lol
