He busted the front windshield and cut his hand. Thank goodness some women were driving in the other direction and the driver happened to look in her rearview mirror and see it happen. She said she had seen him and his wife having a throw-down in their front yard as she passed the house and that's why she looked back. I totally lost it screaming at him while the cops were being called (stupid on my part since he was clearly a lunatic but I wasn't thinking straight at the time) and I told him if he wanted to truly commit suicide, the better choice would be to throw himself in front of a BUS, not my Honda! Crazy people out there!!
But YOUR crazy lady could have killed other people. I hope she gets the help she needs. |
I think that would have bothered me even more than this has!! I can totally relate to how you blew up at that guy. I have never felt more violent/hate/rage than I did when I realized that my children were put in danger by this crazy woman. I did not trust myself to stop and get out when she crashed, because I felt like I could have hurt her myself. I really hope that with so many praying for her, that she will be receptive to the help that she gets.
My kids are still bothered by what happened. They are talking about it a lot. I tried to explain that the lady was sick and had to go to the hospital, but they saw her run off of the road several times, saw her almost run in to us as I ran off of the road, and saw the actual crash. Today was a little better, but I don't think any of us will ever forget it.
