Cali had 3 scary episodes of hypoglycemia when she was a puppy. She did end up having a mild liver shunt but the specialist thought it was so mild and not the reason she was going hypoglycemic. I ended up feeding her Cesars wet food (I know it'a not quality food but she ate it) and chicken. I fed her every 2-3 hours at first and she outgrew the hypoglycemia. Although she throws up if she goes more than 10 hours without food. So even at 21 months I still feed her 3 times a day, Hopefully Sophie will outgrow it too. But food is the key. |
