I agree with this method. However, I started the one meal a day thing when Millie was about a year old. but switched to the above when she would go a day and 1/2 without eating (sometimes).

Her morning ration (or breakfast) I give her cottage cheese or kibble or one center cut bacon (cooked) and 1/2 egg. These are the three things that she will consistently eat. If she does not eat it within a 20 minute period, I pick it up and she waits until dinner.

I found the later I feed her (about 7 - 7:30) in the evening the better chance of her eating her entire meal and the less picky she is. Her evening meal consists of wet dog food. Either Merricks or Evangers.
