Are there no parks at all in the towns or villages where you live? They all have them up here, even my little village has a small one, though you could walk round it twice in 5 minutes
Personally, i'm not that keen on taking her in the parks. Lots of people who have big dogs let them gallop about. they come charging up & terrify my poor little old lady
The owners are friendly enough & usually come out with some remark along the lines of, "Don't worry, he won't bite," but that isn't the point, she's still frightened. So, considering the heart problem she now has, I'd rather not put her through the stress, so we stick to quiet, gentle, short strolls on the paths round here.
