Invisible fencing won't stop something from coming into your yard and killing your dog.
The dog, although you have taught it where the perimeters are, won't know what is causing the shock and can be frightened of what it thinks causes the shock.
I would never recommend a shock collar for a yorkie or any dog for any reason for that matter. In my contract, if any of my puppy buyers/dog owners use such a thing, I seize the dog back.
If the problem is the dog getting out through the door, fix that problem to prevent it getting out. You can either crate it before opening a door or put the dog behind a closed room door.
If you can't have a fence even a small one, where you live or are going to move to, don't move there, there are many options for homes that is much more dog friendly. |
