These little guys are very smart! One time, my husband and I bought a bag of Miko's prescription dog food and he would not eat it for anything, and he always liked his food. So, my husband checked the expiration date on the bag and it had been expired for months! We bought an old bag of dog food and didn't know it, so we took it back and bought another one. He ate the other food, no problems. Maybe there was something wrong with the first food, maybe he could taste that it was stale. I don't know, but he knew he did not want to eat it.
