I do the tails myself I like a bit more tail I have some short and some a bit longer
but I hate a short tail and that was what my vet continued to do...when in doubt I ago about 1/4 " above the brown sometimes a bit more.
With Rumor she has a lot of coat and the tail hair is accentuating the length...its about an 1/2" inch short than it appears.
