That's pretty much a personal choice, I think. Those here with two or more will tell you it's the best way to go and it may be for them but I have one Yorkie (inside) and an Australian Shepherd (outside). I've always been a "one lap dog at a time" kind of person and have decided to only have one Yorkie. Tatum loves playing with her sister outside so between us and the kids and her sissy outside, she gets plenty of interaction and lots of cuddle time. There are definitely pros and cons....... I wish you luck trying to decide!
