I find that my Jack needs to be reminded of the pee pad rules every few months even though he's two now. He'll do fine for a while and then start having accidents. When I notice this happening I get back to:

1. Restricting his water/food times
2. Take him for more walks (if the weather lets us)
3. Bring him to his pad and give him the potty command more often
4. Praise the heck out of him if I catch him doing what he's supposed to.

As always he's only given the bedroom and bathroom (where his pad is) at night and while I'm out of the house. It works in just a week or so...he's back to being a good boy.

I would be interested in hearing how people do with pad trainned dogs when they are visiting someone. Jack is good at my sisters house which has the same floor plan as mine, but if we are someplace new he usually has an accident. It doesn't make it very easy to travel with him.
